Part 4 ~ Top 10 Smart Ways To Use Follow-Up
In the first three lessions we've learned how important it is to create a powerful follow-up system if you want to make a success of your online venture.
Great follow-up causes prospects to like and trust you, and it causes them to buy! Best of all, whether you are selling your own product or you're working toward becoming a super-affiliate, you will be building *your* business every time someone responds to your marketing.
That's follow-up power!
We are going to look at other smart ways to use follow-up to build your business and boost your revenue.
After all, autoresponders can do so much more than just follow up!
Top 10 Smart Ways To Use Follow-Up
Many people think that autoresponders are only for following up with a prospective customer who has yet to buy.
While that is a classic use of an autoresponder, I want to share with you other creative ways to put your business on auto-pilot with the use of autoresponders.
My Top 10 Ways to use autoresponders.
10. Use *product specific* autoresponders to sell more products. A customer who just bought an ebook on web design is a perfect prospect for web hosting. Capitalize on that by sending a follow-up message offering a provider you recommend.
9. Distribute *articles* by autoresponder. Send short messages to ezine publishers and know which ones are interested by who responds and asks for your article!
8. Provide *pricing* by autoresponder. Tired of your competition shopping your site? Want to know who your serious prospects are so you can follow-up and make the sale? Providing pricing via autoresponder is safe, secure and effective.
7. Answer common enquiries automatically via AutoResponse Plus. Since AutoResponse Plus can send both HTML and plain text messages, you can even copy your existing FAQ page into an autoresponder just for people who want to know more.
It's hard to get people to stay on your site long enough to get their queries answered. Overcome that problem with a powerful AutoResponse Plus autoresponder.
6. Conduct *surveys* via autoresponder. With AutoResponse Plus you can schedule a broadcast to your entire list with ease. Set up a customer satisfaction survey existing customers and learn what customers love about your products, as well as how to make improvements.
Survey customers from time to time to discover what they need, and be sure that *you* are the one who can meet those needs.
5. Send out a list of *recommended resources* after customers buy. Similar to a product specific autoresponder, this resource sheet is something a customer can print out when they need to know the best resources in any particular area.
Fill this with your links!
4. Ask for *feedback* after you make a sale. Nothing sells like positive customer experience on your website and in your follow-up system. You will gather more great comments than you can use as you ask customers how they like your product just a few days after ordering.
Best of all, this process will be completely automated using an autoresponder.
3. Create a *training course* for your product or service and deliver it via autoresponder. Your customers will marvel at your customer service as you follow up with them automatically, answering common queries and offering tips and tricks for them to get the most from their purchase.
And remember that happy customers tell others!
2. Create an *affiliate army* for your product or service. After your customer owns your product or service for a week or so, send them a message asking them to become an affiliate.
Marketers agree that running your own affiliate program is one of the key secrets to success on the Internet. And it's easy to do! Imagine having hundreds of reps, none of which get paid until they sell!
A simple invitation properly timed can do the trick.
And The Number One Smart Way In Which To Use An Autoresponder ...
1. Use a *sequence* of autoresponders to always keep selling. This is an advanced technique that you *must* employ to have true autoresponder success.
Let's say that someone signs up to get more information about your product or service. Then they buy after the second follow up message. With a regular autoresponder you would have to stop sending them the "selling" series or risk their anger as they continue to get selling messages even after they purchased.
Not any more!
With autoresponder, you can *automatically* switch them from one autoresponder to another (i.e. from your 'selling' autoresponder to your 'customer' autoresponder) based on criteria that you choose.
This series was written by my good friend Neil Morgan Developer of AutoResponse Plus.
